Seniors

Club Sessions

We hold two sessions each week on Sunday afternoons (2:30-close of play) and Wednesday evenings (6:30-close of play) where you can enjoy some competitive, but friendly tennis.

Come along and introduce yourself at any session.

Code of Practice

Match Play

The Club has several teams in the Oxford, Banbury and Northampton leagues, mixed, men’s and ladies. They run throughout the year, both at the Club and away at other venues. Each team has a squad and a captain who selects the team for each match. Selected players pay a modest fee for each match they play – home or away. The captain will organise the transport for away matches, which usually means sharing a car.

If you are interested in playing competitive tennis then contact a team captain or one of the club captains.

Match practice is organised by the club captains. All are welcome.

The captains recruit the team captains and select the several squads, posting the names in the clubhouse. Twice a year they meet with the various team captains to discuss issues that arise, and make a report of activities and progress each year at the Annual General Meeting.

Social Events

From time to time the Club holds social events and get-togethers. Details can be found in the news section. There are also the Club Championships with finals held on a Sunday in September, and open tournaments.

The Committee is open to ideas and should anyone wish to organise an event then contact a member of the Committee.
