Richard Burns Tournament

The tournament for charity in memory of Richard Burns was enjoyed by many members. We raised £115 for Katherine House Hospice who were very grateful for the donation.

We received this lovely reply from them:

A very big thank you for your recent online donation of £115, made on behalf of Brackley Tennis Club and raised through a fundraising event at the club. How kind of you all to support us this way, thank you! Even in these difficult times local people and their families are continuing to receive specialist end of life care. Our partnership with the NHS means half our fundraising needs are met, which ensures we can continue to provide excellent medical support for our patients. However, we still desperately rely on the donations and support of the community to fund all the things that help us make every moment matter for our patients, the therapy, the relaxation classes, the first-class meals, the one-to-one care, the bereavement support, the arts and crafts, the fun and laughter. More than ever, we need the community’s help to keep the heart of the hospice going.

We supported over 1,000 families last year and the need keeps growing. Your support really makes a difference to those families and the others that will need our help in the future. Thank you again on behalf of us all.
