The club will be holding a quiz on Friday 20th November in the clubhouse starting at 7.30 pm. Teams of 3 – 6 people £5 each to include a light snack. Tea and coffee will be provided. People to bring their own alcohol / soft drinks. Entries to Chris Skermer by Wednesday 18th November.
For a trial period of 4 months the club will provide free coaching for members on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 3 – 5 pm starting on Sunday 8th November 2015. This will be alongside the club session.
Painting of the interior of the Clubhouse will begin Monday 19th October. It is scheduled to take two weeks, with a break for half-term (26th – 30th Oct). The Clubhouse will be left in a useable condition at the end of each day.
The Richard Burns Tournament was held on Saturday 3rd October. We had 16 entries on a lovely sunny afternoon. As always there was good tennis, lots of laughs and, of course, an excellent tea provided by the competitors. The winners were Nigel Evans and Shirley Griffith who beat Phil Roberts and Anne Brady. A raffle was held which raised £60 for Katherine House in Richard’s memory.

There will be essential tree pruning being carried out at the tennis club on Wednesday 4th June and Wednesday 11th June 2014. The courts are still open, but courts 1 – 3 may be affected as this is the area where most work is being done.
